Extra state field in checkout

I ran this issue by wp e-commerce first and they said it was a theme issue because it wasn’t happening with other themes. After the “customer” selects the state, country, and zip code in the shipping calculator, the text field for State in the Billing Info area doesn’t disappear even though there is a select box for State right below it.
