Favicon not showing on IE

I have uploaded favicons in formats as gif, png and ico.

They all show up in Crome but not in Internet Explorer 9.

Is there a way to fix the problem?

Hi, I have solved the problem after doing some research for half an hour.

I installed a plugin called, All in one Favicon, and now it works on my IE browser.

However, it would be nice if the Favicon can be added without installing a plugin.
