But I don’t want to see the text on the home page (not really but if I have to then…)
What I done was change the home.tpl code from…

<h1 style="display: none;"><?php echo $heading_title; ?></h1>
to this
<h1 style="display: none;"><?php echo "My H1 text"; ?></h1>

I hope it works, if you don’t think it will let me know ;)

Hi,

We don’t think it is a good idea to have a hidden content. Some search engines (like Google) can penalize this technique.

Yes I appreciate that but I have just amended code that was already there in open cart?… I don’t think this method will work anyway.

Hi,

We just cite some of the Google guidelines just to have in mind :)

Some website still use hidden content and has no ranking penalty, but you could be reported anytime :)
