Header / border formatting

ThemeBurn SupportForumsWordPress ThemesShoppica WordPress ThemeHeader / border formatting

Hi, I have two Q’s:

1. I would like to include some HTML in the header, on the right aligned in same row as page menu (HTML will be social media icons).

2. I would like to change the entire header and border to black and have it extend full width across the screen (I will change the colour of the logo etc)

Thanks!

Hi,

1) Insert the code in header.php
2) We don`t have option to change the header background to black, you can do it with custom styling.

1) Can you give me a hint about where within header.php I should include the HTML, and what I should tag it with? I’ve to position it on the right side but just made a mess :-( If it’ll make the site messy when viewed on a mobile I may choose not to do this though.

2) OK. Might leave it white then. Can you advise me on how to turn off the intro bar? I have set the option to ‘off’ within theme options > intro but the intro bar is still present on some pages (blog & gallery). (It is not present on some other pages (homepage & contact).

Thanks!

Hi,

We will need the website url, admin and ftp access, to try to align your social icons and check about the intro.

You can use hidepost to share private information with the support staff.

Let’s forget about the social media icons (think it will look cluttered). But if the intro bars could disappear (currently showing on gallery and blog pages only) that would be great. Details below. Thanks!

Sub question – would it be easy for me to make the website logo, search bar and menu centralised in the header? I really like how the site header looks in a small browser, but am worried I’ll screw up the responsive formatting if I play around with it.

Thanks!

Hi,

To do this you can double the css styles from responsive css. This will do the trick.
