This topic has been marked as not a support question.

Hello,

I purchased Shoppica last night…I am using Joomla with OpenCart inside (to use OpenCart inside of Joomla I use MijoShop:

http://mijosoft.com/joomla-extensions/mijoshop-joomla-shopping-cart

My problem is that I have now found that by default, custom themes don’t work straight ‘out of the box’.

What I have been tolf by MijoShop, is they wont help me, but when I contact you, is to tell you this:  “you can tell him to check the difference between the OpenCart’s default theme and the MijoShop’s one”

Could someone please assist me to get Shoppica to work with my setup…

I can PM someone my logins and FTP access when needed.

Thanks,

John

Hello John,

Sorry, but we’ve missed your topic somehow.

Unfortunately, we could be a little bit inaccurate in our first reply, because Mijoshop is a closed product, which we cannot check. We can have a look, if you grant us with ftp and admin access.

You can use hidepost to share private information with the support staff.

We suppose that MijoShop uses its own templates and not these from Opencart, even if the markup is 100% identical. This means that custom OC themes, that has changes in the templates, won’t work at all, when they use different files (Mijoshop templates).

Unfortunately Shoppica is that kind of theme, because of all the features it provides (mobile view, catalog mode, etc.) and if we are right about Mijoshop template structure, this should mean that we will have to rewrite the entire theme to be compatible with this extension.

Have you tried to install Opencart separately and join the two systems with links or modules? This should be easier than rewriting a whole theme.

Best,
Svetoslav
