Horizontal scroll showing up unnecessarily

Hello,

My horizontal scrollbar shows up when it shouldn’t be. I believe its due to an element that is on the bottom right of my website. Its where the payment images are. That box is 960 x 94px and extends out to the right.

1) Can I ask for step by step instructions on how to reduce the size of that box? (Can I modify this in screen.css or somewhere else?) (Also, I really am not familiar with coding or any of this stuff..just tweaking here and there)

2) Are there any other elements that may be causing this horizontal scrollbar to show up too soon?

Hi so I cut my code and placed it where you said, but I’m not sure how to do the last step for using those styles for the container div. I’m not really sure how to do that. I’ve attached a copy of my footer.tpl up until step two of your directions. If you could direct me further, I’d appreciate it.

Also, after I did up to step two, my Copyright + Geotrust icon which was on the left side of the screen suddenly got squeezed with everything else on the right. I hope the last step fixes this or I might need another solution to that.
