How can we fix squished image look on responsive (viewed via phone)

I am wondering how we can fix squished images that show when viewing a page via our phone (responsive) view. On my posts I have some images that are about 800px wide to fill the page and they great on the browser, but when viewed via the phone these images look all squished. Is there anyway to easily fix this?	reboot

I played around with this a bit and it seems if I take a page from my old site and re-config it using the visual composer and add images via a text block then they look fine. Must be something to do with my previous theme so it seems I have solved this issue.	reboot
