Hello!
I’ve been trying several options regarding the shipping method in my opencart page. I’m launching a small business (which I hope can grow in the future) and I’m coming to the conclusion that it may be easier to receive a notification whenever someone makes a check out so I can send them an e-mail with the total costs depending on the products they order and their geozone.
Is there a way to do this? That customers only click Check Out and them I can contact them with a bank account and stuff… It would make everything easier. Thank you!
If it can’t be done this way, anyone knows a good shipping extension that can calculate shipping rates?

Hi,
Receiving an order email notice is an option that you could easy enable from the admin panel:
Admin -> System -> Settings -> Mail tab -> New order alert mail option
If you can’t find a proper shipping price estimator, you can always use the flat rate option and inform the customers that they may have to pay additional shipping taxes, which you will send in the email.

In these days I found out how to calculate the shipping rates depending on the weight. Now it’s all solved
