iSense ‘Ask for Quote’ Extension issue With Layout Assignment

ThemeBurn SupportForumsOpenCart ThemesPavilion OpenCart ThemeiSense ‘Ask for Quote’ Extension issue With Layout Assignment

This topic has been marked as not resolved.

Hi,

I contacted iSense when the extension i purchased did not swap the “Add to cart” button as expected. I supplied them with admin login and FTP access and i received the following reply. Please can you let me now if this is fixable or it this simply incompatible with your theme?

The website is https://www.amphorea.co.uk. The extension is installed and active on the following product: https://www.amphorea.co.uk/0.5_litre_white_pot_and_white_lid

The ‘add to cart’ button should be changed to ‘ask for quote’ and the price should be removed by using the extension. I have tried to follow the instructions in the forum topic http://support.themeburn.com/topic/no-price-ask-for-quote but it looks like the askforquote.tpl has changed since  last the topic was updated so the lies of code suggested are no longer found.

RESPONSE FROM ISENSE LABS:

“We successfully connected to your store admin panel and investigated the issue. We first noticed that you had created two products layouts in Design > Layouts for which the store was not defined, therefore these layouts would not get used on the front end. Therefore, we when in the Pavilion theme control panel and assigned the module to the Product layout. Even after doing so, we noticed that the module was not actually loaded on the front end. We checked further by assigning the default Account module to the product layout, but the Account module was not shown on the front end either. It seems that there is an issue with the layout assignment in your store. We would suggest you report this to theme developer. Once the layout assignment is working correctly in your store, test again the module and let us know your feedback.”

Hi Joel,

Have you checked this topic?

http://docs.themeburn.com/burnengine/content-blocks/opencart/

There we have explained how to export third party extensions to Page Builder.

We can also have a look at your configuration if you share admin access. You can use hidepost to share private information with the support staff.

HI, Any news on the issue?

Hi,

We are sorry for the late reply. We’ve checked your website and it seems that it uses a very old theme version (1.2.3). In order to resolve your problem you need to update. There are two options that you can choose:

1) Update to the latest version from the 1.x branch – 1.2.9. At the moment this version is no longer available in the theme package, but we can send it for you. This option would be the easier one to follow as you should only need to copy new theme files. The drawback here is that version 1.x is not in development from more than 2 years – we are going to soon release Pavilion for OC 3.x.

2) Update to the latest version of Pavilion – 2.2.7. The problem here is that you will need to update your OpenCart to at least 2.0.3.2. There is an existing tool to migrate from Pavilion 1 to 2, but it cannot transfer all your settings and we cannot guarantee it will work properly – it is not supported anymore. You might need to transfer all theme settings for the new version. Choosing this option will ensure you are getting all the latest theme features + the ability to easily update to future versions.

We’ve sent you the 1.2.9 version in case you choose step 1.

Please, if you have any further questions, let us know!

Hi,

We’ve managed to add the Ask for quote module and it now appears in the source code, but there is a JS error that breaks everything.

We could take a look if you share FTP access to your server.

Yes i have noticed that the search is now not working, the banners on home page have dissappeared and the checkout is no longer working. I have now tried to revert back to the pre update version but it is all still broken. Im assuming this has over written your changes now too.

Our FTP is protected by a firewall so i will need your IP address so i can whitelist it.
