OC 2.1.0.1 Pav 1.2.9 Journal2.9

I recently installed journal2 with intentions of running it on a different store.

However there seems to be a slight incompatibility with the pavilion theme.

Journal2 works fine for everything except when pavilion is enabled.

Only when pavilion is enabled, sliders in the top position display in all layouts when using user friendly URL’s (even though they are only assigned to one layout.)

If I disable pavilion theme the problem with journal2 goes away. I have been in touch with journal theme builders and they are claiming that it must be an issue with pavilion theme because the problem goes away when pavilion is disabled.. and therefore you must be modifying some core layout files that are altering the way OC works.

I have journal2 and Pav setup in multi-store env.

When journal theme navigates to a seo friendly url for products or categories, the theme acts like it is on home page. It still shows sliders that should only show on the home page.

It will not recognize category or product page formatting unless the full (non seo friendly) default route is displayed.

This problem goes away when pavilion theme is disabled.
