This topic has been marked as not resolved.
Hi There I posted earlier with regards to latest opencart compatibilities – anyway took the plunge and uploaded… OK my original version didn’t work but didn’t expect it to! So finally got my backside into gear to apply the “new theme” Shoppica V2… all works well as I go through colour coding and adding some new banners etc… BUT a couple of things… 1. I am getting an error on top of the frontend page …no idea what that is, can you advise? 2. ALSO on V1 I got support with adding the Meta description under the product name – similar to the shoppica slideshow (V1) * see below… Open the product template catalog\controller\view\theme\shoppica\template\product\product.tpl and place the following piece of code after tag:
This was the answer from you guys, any chance I could do the same with V2? Thanks for a swift response. Rob.

Just tried to choose some products in the “Intro” section and get this error message… Fatal error: Call to undefined method Loader::language() in /home/g/r/graceemmersonoc/public_html/shop/tb_themes/shoppica2/admin/controller/IntroController.php on line 133 *maybe not as simple as I had hoped… |

Hi Rob, Shoppica is not yet compatible with OpenCart 1.5.5.x. As we’ve said in your previous topic, the latest version is a little bit buggy at the moment and we will delay the update a bit, until everything is fixed. You can check the bug thread here: http://forum.opencart.com/viewtopic.php?f=161&t=93332 Best, |

Yes I did jump in a bit quick – Is it possible to go back a couple of versions of Opencart. To be honest from what I can tell the only issue was the changing of the 2 core opencart files… |

Hi, You can go with OpenCart 1.5.4.x, if you don’t want to wait; it is a pretty stable version in comparison to the current 1.5.5.x The two core files that are overwritten does are not modified in a way that breaks any default or third party functionality. At least for almost two years we haven’t got any problems, but only a few isolated cases with third party extensions Best, |

Hi, The best way to revert a version is a new installation There are (almost) always database changes and you cannot go with direct file replacement only. About the new version of Shoppica, we will wait a bit until all major bugs from the bug thread are fixed. We will not wait more than a week or two, however. Best, |

Done a new install with backed up files… after a couple of tweaks got it working updated opencart to 1.5.4 then added the V2 Shoppica and looks like its all good apart from its on a preview server – is it worth swapping across (SSL etc ) or shall i just wait a week or so… Anyway thanks guys love the theme and for anyone else out there DONT UPDATE OPENCART WITHOUT CHECKING IF THEME IS COMPATIBLE. *If you can do it quicker TB let me know * Rob. |
