Limit amount of characters in text product option

Hello,

I would like to be able to limit the amount of characters one can enter in the text field in the product option.  For example I would like to limit the amount of characters entered to 100 per input-text, but still let be able to enter a greater amount in input-textarea.
Please keep in mind I have multiple input-text areas and only really need to limit one specific one.
I.e.
