1) If you want to enable default Bootstrap theme, you will have to add this custom CSS to fix the broken grid:

#d_quickcheckout [class*="col"] {
  margin-right: 0;
  margin-left: 0;
}

2) This system message is not controlled by the theme and we cannot help you much here.
