Hi when I’m uploading images A LOT of extra different sized copies are being created in my uploads folder (see Image Duplicates.PNG) and therefore eating up a lot of my limited web space.
I have heard this can be stopped by setting all Media Settings – Image sizes to 0 (see Media Settings.PNG), but that made no difference. Is Shoppica creating all these extra files? Are they necessary for the theme to run properly? If not can they be turned off? (By default I upload all product images as a square 1200×1200 if that makes any difference.)
Thanks a lot for the help!

Hi,
This is how Shoppica WordPress is working, we are using only default wordpress upload which upload image for each size, and not script like timthumb which will eat all your memory.
You can delete some of them, but you may encouter missing images.
If you don`t use blog, testimonials or portfolio let us know and we will let you know how to disable resizing for them.
Best,

Thanks for the quick response, I really appreciate it.
Actually I probably won’t use blog, testimonials or portfolio, so could you tell me how to disable resizing for them if that’s not too much trouble?
Cheers mate.
