Pavilion install issues

ThemeBurn SupportForumsOpenCart ThemesPavilion OpenCart ThemePavilion install issues

This topic has been marked as resolved.

I have just uploaded what i got from you to a working OpenCart 2.0.1 installation and Pavillon is not working:

I have attached screendumps of the Admin interface and the Frontend:

In the admin interface, i get a lot of sql errors like this

Notice: Error: Unknown column ‘group’ in ‘where clause’
Error No: 1054
SELECT * FROM oc_setting WHERE `store_id` = 0 AND `key` = ‘theme_pavilion’ AND `group` = ‘pavilion’ in G:\PleskVhosts\ecommerceonline.org\lingerie.life\system\library\db\mysqli.php on line 40Notice: Trying to get property of non-object in G:\PleskVhosts\ecommerceonline.org\lingerie.life\tb_themes\pavilion\library\DbSettingsHelper.php on line 46Notice: Error: Unknown column ‘group’ in ‘where clause’
Error No: 1054

In the frontend:

I get what seems to be a standard error,

3. You have not replaced (system/engine/controller.php and catalog/model/setting/extension.php) files with those provided with the theme package.

I have just uploaded what i got from you to a working OpenCart 2.0.1 installation.

We checked your server and your files are totally screwed up. The extensions and the theme are improperly uploaded, some core files are needlessly overlapped. Sorry, but it’s such a mess, it’s impossible for us to ‘fix’.

The only fix is to remove everything in your web folder, do a fresh opencart install, ensure everything is working, and then apply the Pavilion theme according to the documentation.

Pavilion Theme does not install and does not work

You are not correct! EVERYTHING is in working order! System crashes after installing the Pavillon Theme latest version PLEASE FIX NOW!

By the way there no extensions so it doesn’t compute that extensions should be wrong. The install of OpenCart is a standard install everything from the UploadFolder so it doesn’t compute either that everything is garbled or overlapped. I have checked all files there are no duplicates neither in the OpenCart install folder or on the server.

Please check again, and give me a list of what you think the problem is.

We are trying to resolve the issues, which arise because of failure to install the theme the way it’s described in documentation.

You uploaded the files in wrong folders, and some core opencart files are overwritten, which results in the errors.

Please, stop flooding with comments the forum and themeforest and let us do the work, which was supposed to be done from you. Installing the theme by hand is normally not within the free support we provide, so the only thing we need currently is your patience and the understanding that the fault is not in the theme.

ThemeBurn team

It seems you are working on the site and deleting stuff, and I am trying to upload stuff. It would be helpful to notify your client before you start changing things:-( All it takes is a notfication and the site is yours to work on.

I did upload the theme as described in your own documentation, so maybe your docimentation is wrong.

Regarding the comments I didn’t see any action on your part, that’s why.

Please let me know when you are finished.

We have removed our theme completely and uploaded fresh opencart files. Please, do the opencart installation, because we don’t have access to the database. Do not upload Pavilion.

Make sure opencart works well (the admin and frontend are displayed correctly) and let us know when you’re ready. We’ll apply Pavilion then.

I have installed the database, and not made any changes to any settings.

Everything is default. Remember the shop will have to run SSL.

Let me know when you are done.

Hi,

this is what we see in the opencart admin panel – http://easycaptures.com/fs/uploaded/945/1047178190.png

This is how it should look like – http://easycaptures.com/fs/uploaded/945/5861977892.png

Please, get the opencart working as it supposed to be, so we can apply the theme.

Hi again,

The “error” in the view as it seems was due to the fact that the MIME type .less wasn’t known to the server.

I have added it to the webserver, and the view now like your screendumps.

I have not made any modifications.

Let me know when you are done.

The /system/modification folder does not have sufficient write permissions. Please, change them as you did with /system/cache and the other folders that needed such permissions during installation phrase.

Done so.

This was no issue running the OpenCart Install. The prepocessor marked everything green.

Let me know once you are done.

Your theme is installed. We did nothing apart from following the official install instructions.

About the non-marked folder in the prepocessor – it’s an opencart issue that was reported but not yet fixed. Because of this and some other issues with OpenCart 2.0 we placed a big yellow disclaimer in our install page. We did this for a reason.

Thanks :-)

I did not see a yellow disclaimer anywhere in your install, perhaps you should check that it is there in all your software packages.

I mean the theme installation documentation (which we presume everyone reads) – http://docs.themeburn.com/pavilion/installation/opencart-2-x/ – an yellow box at the top with Important! title.

There are still some issues that haven’t been resoved. The system has crashed.

Well there seems to still be an issue. I was moving around in the Admin interface, and was intending to do something – when both the frontend and the admin crashed.

I have restarted the application webserver, presuming something was caught in cache. But to no avail.

Please have a look.
