From the error you have posted I can conclude that this file (at least) – system/engine/controller.php – is from older version of Shoppica.

Can you re-upload the files from the latest version of Shoppica (currently 1.0.11) to see if this will solve your problem ?

Please, give us access to your server so we can check if this is a Shoppica bug.

Hello,

I am having the same problem:

Notice: Undefined index: position in /home/www/mysite.com/system/engine/controller.php on line 46
Notice: Undefined index: layout_id in /home/www/mysite.com/system/engine/controller.php on line 47
Notice: Error: Could not load template /home/www/mysite.com/catalog/view/theme/default/template/module/customFooter.tpl! in /home/www/mysite.com/system/engine/controller.php on line 77

When resorted to my old template, the old template would work but I would get he first 2 of the above 3 errors at the top of the page.

Regards

Hello,

further to the above, when the Shoppica Theme CP and Banners are uninstalled under modules I get the message below. But when I install and enable I get the message in the previous post.

Warning!
You see this message due one (or more) of the following reasons:

1. You have not enabled your ‘Shoppica Theme CP’ module. Please, go to admin panel, enter Extensions->Modules and change the status of ‘Shoppica Theme CP’ to `enabled`.

2. You have not properly updated your index.php file. It should contain these two lines (near the end):

// Shoppica
$controller->addPreAction(new Action(‘module/shoppica/init’));

For more information about the theme installation, please read carefully the Shoppica Extended Documentation.

If you think you’ve made everything according to the installation instructions and this message continues to appear, please contact the support.

Most likely you haven’t install Shoppica properly or you are using older version of OpenCart with newer version of Shoppica.

Please, give us more information about your site.

Thank you for getting back to me.

I am using 1.5.1.3 which I believe is the most updated version. I purchased the theme on Sunday (150112) and installed the correct version. When I had the problem I made sure and double checked every file.

Do you need access to my server?

Hello,

just to make sure I installed correctly, I reinstalled and the same problem persists.

Hi,

Your errors were caused by the Gentle theme, which has overridden a core opencart file with an incompatible modified version – catalog/controller/common/footer.php. We have rolled back this file and everything works fine now :)

If you want to use Shoppica and Gentle together, you should contact the Gentle developers to fix their theme.

ThemeBurn team
