Remove unwanted characters from end of product URL

Hi

On the product detailed page characters such as the following “#.ULMsumeSfCs” are added to the end of the URL on both URLS with SEO Keywords and URLS without SEO Keywords

Can you tell me why these are displaying

example: /index.php?route=product/product&product_id=143#.ULMsumeSfCs

No other OC sites that I have set up have this issue

Hi,

Could you provide some more information? We may need the website url, admin and ftp access as well.
You can use hidepost to share private information with the support staff.

My client will not allow for FTP details to be passed over. I can however send you any file that you require

Hello Niall,

This shouldn’t be a Shoppica problem at all. Have you tested, if the default theme appends these unwanted characters as well?

Are you using any third party extensions, as they could be the most likely reason for this url rewrite?

Hi – I found the issue. I was the social share plugin that was causing it on the product page. Would you have any ideas as to why this happens. I have turned off the social share temporarily. Would like to turn it back on some stage if you can find solution. Thank you,

Hi Niall,

Generally, the social share we use does not make such problems.

We have used the add this plugin with just some css added. You can take a look at the extension and customize it yourself.
