SEO Keyword added, page becomes not found

Hello,

My goal was to make my URLs simpler and cleaner. I changed my htaccess.txt. file to htaccess. Went to System-Settings-Server and turned on “Use SEO URLS”

Then filled out the “SEO Keyword” on product. When clicking on the product now I get a 404 error page is renamed or cannot be found. The URL looks great but being redirected.

If I remove the “SEO Keyword” all returns to normal, product is visible but the URL is ugly again.

Please let me know what I am missing.

Hi Joshua,

The dot in the filename should be in the beginning:

.htaccess
