SEO Problem – Shoppica 2 vs SEO Pack Pro

Hello,

I found an older post, which pretty much describes my problem, but without any solution:
“I bought Shoppica 2 for use in multistore OpenCart. Everything is working correctly until I switch on the SEO URL rewrite. After that the shop which is not using Shoppica is working correctly, but that one using Shoppica gives “Warning” page after I hit any seo link. If I click a link which is not rewritten it works normally.”

In addition:
If I create a new Category (without SEO), it’s redirecting to Home of the Shoppica 2 Shop, if I click on the same category in the default store it redirects correctly. If I enter a SEO for the Category (for example “test”), the Shoppica 2 Store redirects correctly to shop.de/test, but shows the 404 Error page of the default store.

System:
• OpenCart 1.5.6.4
• Latest Shoppica 2 Version
• SEO Pack Pro V9.42 (latest)

Hi,

are you sure you are using the ‘multistore’ functionality correctly ? It does not work with subdirectories. All of the stores must have different domains. And you shouldn’t install OpenCart for every store. Only for the default one.

Also, can you please test if the ‘SEO pack Pro’ is working with the default theme on all of the stores ? Please, enable the default theme in all of the stores and then test if the seo links work correctly.

Thank you for your reply,

No, I’m not using Multistore correctly, this would be my 2nd Store, but I just want to test it bevor it goes live (with its own Domain). The subdomain is just my Testshop, to ensure the live one wont crash, this is where I make changes like updating extensions, adding new extensions, or in this case testing shoppica.

“Also, can you please test if the ‘SEO pack Pro’ is working with the default theme on all of the stores? Please, enable the default theme in all of the stores and then test if the seo links work correctly.”

If Shoppica is disabled and the default theme is enabled the redirections are all working correctly.
Thank you for your replie

Hi,

As we’ve said in our previous post, you will have to setup your secondary store correctly to get your links working. You need to use different domains – subdomain is also legit.
