I have installed the Shoppica 2.2.2 theme on top of 1.5.5.1 OC. I have modified the .htaccess file as always, and turned on seo url’s. Then checked the categories, only to find out that URL’s are pointing to: index.php?route=category/manufacturer&c_id=59&man_id=11
That is if a user points at the Top category and clicks on one of the subcategories.
I’ve used opencart for quite a long time, and never had this issue with any of my other themes. Am I missing something? Please help, as it would kill my SEO work forever.

In addition, I cannot get the BRANDS category to show on the left side of the category and product pages. I’ve tried to disable all vqmods, and the problem still persists. Please fix it as soon as possible!

Hi,
This one is not a bug. The manufacturer link from the top menu is a custom feature added by Shoppica. It shows the products from the selected brand only for the dropdown category. It is different from the default OpenCart manufacturer page, which shows all the products for the selected brand.
Due to OpenCart limitations, there is no simple way to transform these to SEO urls. This issue is on our to do list and we’ll do your best to provide a solution in future releases. For now, there is no quick solution to this.
