Trouble installing with subdomain

ThemeBurn SupportForumsOpenCart ThemesShoppica 2 OpenCart ThemeTrouble installing with subdomain

This topic has been marked as resolved.

I am trying to use your script with a subdomain site and when i used OpenCart 1.5.5 the install works fine but once I install Shoppica 2, it no longer functions and I get different strings of errors…. cut and paste below.

Warning!
You see this message because Shoppica 2 is not properly installed/configured. This happens usually due one (or more) of the following reasons:

1. You have not installed the Shoppica 2 module. Please, go to admin panel, enter Extensions -> Modules, find ‘Shoppica 2 CP’ and click ‘install’.

2. You have not properly updated your index.php file. It should contain these two lines (near the end):

// TB
$controller->dispatch(new Action(‘common/tb’, array(‘front’ => $controller)), new Action(‘error/not_found’));
3. You have not replaced the opencart core files (system/engine/controller.php and catalog/model/setting/extension.php) with these provided with the Shoppica package.

For more information about the theme installation, please read carefully the Shoppica Documentation.

If you think you’ve made everything according to the installation instructions and this message continues to appear, please contact the support.

Any help in getting the script to work for my site would be appreciated.

Any thoughts? I have been fighting with this for a while now.

Thanks,

Dean

Hi Dean,

We will need the website url, admin and ftp access, so we can check.

Hello Dean,

Unfortunately we haven’t been able to login with the ftp credentials you have provided. Can you please check?

Also, we’ve noticed you haven’t uploaded the two modified core files from the theme package:

/catalog/model/setting/extension.php
/system/engine/controller.php

Maybe this is the reason the theme is not working?

I have both uploaded and verified that just now. I have also re-uploaded both.

Can I ask how to obtain a refund on this theme that cannot be installed.

Hi Dean,

Your Shoppica installation is working fine now.

The problem was that all your uploaded theme file names were converted to lowercase. We’ve deleted all transformed files and uploaded again everything.

Thank you very much for the help. I appreciate you getting this theme to work for me as this has been an ongoing issue with themes for this site.

Thanks again,

Dean

Glad we’ve helped, Dean.

P.S. To be sure, everything will work in the future (third party extensions, theme updates), check the problem we have described.

Best,
