After enabling DB cache in the theme settings under system, I can’t access my site anymore. I get this error:
Notice: Undefined property: DB::$db in /sites/mishop.nl/www/system/storage/modification/system/library/db.php on line 63
This is what my host gives as an error:
FastCGI: server “/var/run/php-fpm/php56/php-cgi” stderr: PHP message: PHP Fatal error: Call to a member function query() on null in /sites/mishop.nl/www/system/storage/modification/system/library/db.php on line 65
How to fix this? Or can I manually turn the db cache off somewhere in the files so my website goes back to working?

Hi,
this is a known issue with db cache + opencart 2.2.0.0. The fix will be delivered with the next update. For now, just turn off the database cache.

Dear ThemeBurn team,
How do I turn of the database cache? I can’t get to the admin panel as it gives that error. Is there something I can change in a file?

Kenan

In order to access your admin, try to delete the contents of the system/storage/modification folder, except the index.html file. This is safe operation, don’t worry.

I deleted the contents of that folder but now my OpenCart doesn’t show BurnEngine. When I reinstall it through Extensions > Templates, the panel doesn’t work either + all my settings are gone.
Removing that folder just messes it up even further.
I don’t want to delete all my BurnEngine settings. Just want to disable the db cache. Is that not possible any other way?
Regards,
Kenan

If you reinstalled the BurnEngine extension from Extensions > Templates you already erased your BurnEngine settings . Hope you have a backup. After you restore the backup, can you please provide the website url, admin and ftp access, so we can check.
You can use hidepost to share private information with the support staff.
