Visual composer shortcodes showing up in product intro slider descriptions/excerpts

This topic has been marked as resolved.

I notice an issue with Visual Composer where it’s shortcodes will show up on the product.

I go into the product edit page, go to classic mode, remove the short codes. Go back to visual composer mode and set up the page how I like it and then I save it. If for some reason I change the mode again, the shortcode comes back.

This is visible when you use a product intro slider. You will see the short code in the description/excerpt that shows so it looks bad.

Hi,

Can you please send us link to the page where this happens?

here’s the link, notice the second product in the slide. If I go to that product and switch to classic editor and remove short codes and save it’s gone. But them my images posted on the product page look all squished on responsive mode. If I save the page with visual composer they look good again but then the shortcodes comes back if I ever switch back to classic mode and save.

Hi,

We removed it and everything looks okay. Its normal images to be squashed on responsive mode because there is no space for them. Its better to add this images as text if its possible.

I do add the images via a text block and they resize great to fit on responsive if saved via visual composer. If saved via classic then they don’t.

But still the shortcode should not show on the product slide intros

Hi,

You can`t hide shortcodes in product slider because they appear as text not as function there.

You can remove shortcodes only for the products in the slider, or use text instead of images.
