Add to Cart/Pre-Order button won't appear in in Featured Product module when item is out of stock

My products are manufactured when they are ordered so there is never anything in inventory. However, I want the “Pre-order” button to appear in Featured Products modules I have on the home page. The button shows on the item page, but not the featured product modules.

I’ve attached an image of my featured products module settings. Is there a setting I’m missing somewhere?

We will need the website url and admin access, so we can check.

You can use hidepost to share private information with the support staff.
