Facebook Like next to Search Box

Hi,

We would like to add a Facebook Like button linked to our facebook page next to the search box at the top of the page. We have managed this a couple of times but the template then seems to loose all alignment, especially when accessing from various different devices. Can you provide some help on this to maintain the page structure.

Have tried this but the like button seems to align left towards the logo and not to the right next to the search box. Also once entering the code I seem to get a lot of white space below between the search box and the login / create account links.
