How add a custom navigation menu

Hi guys, How can I add a custom navigation menu to the theme? I want to use my own .jpg designs for the menu. The create account doesn’t work, it goes to login page instead. How can I fix that? Hi, Could please give more information, do you want all nav background, or only hover and current links? We will need the website url, admin and ftp access, so we can check about the registration.
