Using 'enter' key with live search returns 404 error

I set up a new OC 2.3.0.2 installation last week and just bought the Technopolis theme. Everything is working well so far, but I’m having a problem with the live search tool. When I start typing, the live results start showing up as expected. If I click on them with my mouse, the product page loads, as expected. But if I use the arrow keys to highlight a result, and then press the enter key, it takes me to the following URL: index.php?route=error/not_found For some reason the enter key is generating a different result than using the mouse.
