Intro Type – Image Slideshow

ThemeBurn SupportForumsWordPress ThemesShoppica WordPress ThemeIntro Type – Image Slideshow

This topic has been marked as resolved.

Hello again,

I’m testing out various ‘intro types’ and I wanted the simplicity of an image slide show on the home page.

I uploaded an image a 1000px wide and selected ‘no padding’ from the options, but the image is still being contained in a 940px box? Is the ‘no padding’ option for something else?

Thanks again for the help!

Hello,

We find the problem with no padding options:

I too am having problems using the layer slider on the Home page to not have the padding on the left and right so that it fits the full area like the slider in the demo. That was one of the elements I liked on the demo. I also have check marked “no padding” in the theme options panel and uploaded a large enough, 1000px wide background image but the slider still only is 940px wide and has padding on the left and right. I replaced the code in the core.php file and still it is not filling the whole area like your demo.

I have tried changing the Global Setting in Slider width to 1000px and then it is wider but the whole slider shifts to the right and extends beyond the page. How do we get the slider background to be as wide as the shoppica demo? Are there some other Global settings that need to be changed that I have not tried or missed?

Hi,

We will need the website url, admin and ftp access, so we can check.

Ok, I will add that info for you. Also, I am having an issue with Facebook, both the widget and the “like” button not showing up on the product page. I have looked up and verified my facebook id. I have facbook widgets on other sites. For the social icons it seems a similar issue to

I also only have the wp-ecommerce plugin and no other active plugins. I even played around with the Marketing tab in wp-ecommerce with no results for the “like” button.

Thanks, I did try my Facebook page id in the widget but I also had my personal one in the theme options panel as the documentation led me to believe that we had to use the website to lookup our id #. So I assumed personal because the page one I have has the number right in the address bar, but I guess that’s because I never changed it. Anyway, that mystery solved.

As far as the slider. I only added to the page when I did not see it there. I have removed it from the Home page with the visual composer. I see I never changed the first drop down in the theme options area for Category / Page / Post. I was just thinking it would default as the Home page. I guess I went about things the long and wrong way :) I’m not used to these fancy theme control panels. Yours is nice though. And the slider is working as I was planning now. Ok, 2 things down.
