I updated to WordPress 3.9 and the site has crashed with several errors. I had to load a backup copy before updating.
Can we update to WordPress 3.9?
And can we update to Woocommerce 2.1.8?

There shouldn`t be any problems with WordPress 3.9. We have tested it on few installations and everything works fine. What error did you get?
We are working on compatibility patch for Woocommerce 2.1.8. Don not update yet, we will let you know when the patch is ready for download.

I updated Shoppica 1.4.3 version and WordPress 3.9.
But when I update to latest Woocommerce the product pages shows errors.
So, again restore full website.

We have tested Shoppica 1.4.3 with WordPress 3.9.1 and Woocommerce 2.1.9 and everything is working just fine.
What type of error you got and did you check if it is plugin conflict.
